International Mixes Aero & Classic On New LoneStar
As International went through a freshening up of its Class 8 line recently to meet the needs of the newer EPA-compliant engines, the company’s designers weighed the truckers’ love of “Classic” conventional cab styling against the economic realities of paying $3 or more for a gallon of fuel, and sought to balance that equation. The result is International’s latest over-the-road tractor, the LoneStar.

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) published its proposed revisions to the entry-level driver training standards for operators of commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in interstate operations that are required to possess a commercial driver’s license (CDL). The proposed rule appeared in the December 26, 2007, Federal Register.
