Legal Lane
Police are trained to observe drivers to see if they can detect
impaired drivers and get them off the road. The majority of states use
the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Guide for Detecting
Drunk Drivers at Night (DOT HS 805 711).Dec 1, 2007 - 8:06:36 AM

In Adam Walsh Child Protection & Safety Act Part 1,
my last article, we looked at the facts leading up the kidnapping,
sexual abuse and death of six year old Adam Walsh. I want to review
the Adam Walsh Child Protection & Safety Act (Act) itself for this
article to see what it covers and how truck drivers can help the US
Marshals with the enforcement of the Act.

Here are the facts as we know them. Six year old Adam
Walsh went with his mother to a department store to look at some
lamps. Upon entering the store, Adam saw several boys playing video
games in the toy department and asked his mom if he could play games
with the boys. His mom was going only three aisles over to the lamp
department, so she said he could stay and play with the other boys.
