Many truckers still harbor negative feelings regarding the use of Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) systems as a result of recent unsuccessful political attempts to mandate 24-hour surveillance of truckers through the use of on-board “black box” technology. Even so, there are many important reasons to accept the use of the navigation and tracking systems in today’s trucking industry.
